January 23: My constituent Michael Stark of Welco Expediting was in Ottawa for a conference on the mining industry in Canada, and invited me for a briefing and beverage after work. I'm in Ottawa now until mid-February as Parliament resumes on Monday.

November 22, 2019: I was sworn in as the Member of Parliament for Calgary Centre on Friday, November 22.
On the final day of doorknocking, Sunday, the crews did 2,105 doors in Elbow Park, Inglewood and some multi-family buildings. Polls close today at 7:30 PM sharp. Please be in line by then.

Ruth and I were honoured earlier this week to be hosted for a celebration of Chinese arts and culture at the Jubilee.

On Thurs I attended the AGM for Calgary River Community Action Group. Great turnout of engaged citizens. Also attending to hear from the residents were MLA Doug Schweitzer, MLA Ric McIver, and Councillor Jeromy Farkas.

Claire is a small business owner in Kitimat. She is also a former City Councillor for the District of Kitimat and the youngest person to hold a seat on Kitimat Council.

We had great fun meeting people at 'Miracle on 34th Street' in Killarney on Saturday (Sept 7). Bicycle decorating, road hockey, the local boys in blue, and some great eating! Mother Nature cooperated and the band played! Magic evening.
In Inglewood again this weekend! The team met lots of supporters in my old neighbourhood on Sunday Sept 8.

Meanwhile, 14,500 pieces of literature went out the door to volunteers to deliver to mailboxes in the southern part of the riding. The rest of the riding will receive theirs during this coming week.

Sunday July 7 was the 69th annual Hays Breakfast, but unfortunately, the last one as the family has decided to end this Stampede tradition (although rumour has it that some folks intend to find a way to continue).

Thousands rallied in Calgary today (June 11) in support of oil & gas workers, and against Liberal Bills C-48 and C-69. Why must we rally in huge numbers to get federal respect for our core industry?
Proud to host former Cabinet Minister Steven Blaney, MP, at a sold-out lunch today. Mr. Blaney told us that the way to Quebeckers' hearts on energy issues is to combine the message of prosperity with a message of environmental responsibility. Quebeckers are not necessarily opposed to projects like pipelines; but they do want to know the environment is being respected.
It was the Lilac Festival on Sunday June 2. We had dozens and dozens of volunteers in the Parade, and then again at the Greg McLean-Calgary Centre tent.
Sunday June 9 was our first day canvassing in Altadore. Residents are eager for the change we are working for in the October election.
Our super volunteer team received solid support on National Canvass Day in Parkhill. Great day -- and we celebrated over beverages!

An important part of the campaign schedule is going to classrooms -- here in Rosscarrock -- to show tomorrow's voters the importance of our democracy and our democratic processes.
Last week I had the pleasure of talking to the residents of Amica Britannia. I have visited several seniors' residences in Calgary Centre so far, and have a few more to visit this week before the election.
It was standing room only tonight (Friday Oct 4) at a Beltline community Meet-and-Greet event. I was pleased to meet and chat with many Calgary Centre residents living in the Beltline and throughout the riding, and hear about what issues are top of mind in this election (few surprises - our faltering economy and the rising cost of living topped the list).

Our new campaign HQ is now operational at 2409 - 33rd Ave (on the south side of 33rd, just east of Crowchild Tr). Calgary old-timers will remember this place as the former Smilin’ Buddha Tattoo Parlour - a local institution! More recently, it served as Greg Clark’s campaign HQ in the provincial election.
We’re using the space for meetings (this is the Sign Committee meeting on Saturday afternoon) but our hours are still on as-needed basis, so if you plan to stop by, please call ahead at 403.453.2454. We’ll be staffed regularly after Labour Day.
One of our teams was knocking on doors in Parkhill earlier this week, on August 19. I love having so many young people on the campaign and hope I don't lose them all when university starts up again!

I joined Conservative Leader Andrew Scheer, and Members of Parliament Stephanie Kusie and Shannon Stubbs, on Scotsman's Hill on Saturday morning, May 25. Scheer talked about Canada's need for a corridor across Canada so that we can build pipelines and power lines and other critical infrastructure more quickly. Outcomes would be predictable for investors, and any environmental impact would be confined. It's a very good idea.
