Province must act to constrain oil production

November 17, 2018: Brett Wilson makes some good points about our current oil situation in this video from Power Play. My personal position is that the Alberta government needs to intervene and restrict output. Industry is too divided amongst itself to sort this out. And it is a HUGE problem. I think this issue (the lack of a real process for building projects that take our resources to market) is the biggest issue holding back our country economically for the next decade. We need a short term solution while we sort out that issue -- and as divisive as that may be to the industry -- a short-term solution to abate our losses until there is a long-term solution.
