Statement on Notley Announcement: Province had to act; Ottawa is "Missing in Action"

I'm pleased to see Premier Notley announce the necessity of imposing oil production cuts in Alberta. We have unity on display on this issue from all our provincial party leaders -- that should show the federal government how Alberta's political leaders feel about this 'complex' issue (as referenced by PM Trudeau).

The province has to do this because the federal government is Missing in Action -- not only doing nothing, but making matters worse. Peter Lougheed also took decisive steps when a previous Trudeau government damaged our crucial industry, which is a vital contributor to Canada’s wealth. It cannot be soon enough that we replace this federal Liberal government and give Calgary Centre a strong voice in that new government.
